November 5, 2024 Election Endorsement Calendar

The San Francisco Democratic Party issues endorsements for municipal and regional candidates as well as local ballot measures. Endorsements issued by the San Francisco Democratic Party become the official endorsements of the California Democratic Party.

The California Democratic Party makes endorsements for federal and state candidates as well as statewide ballot measures. These endorsements become the official endorsements of the San Francisco Democratic Party.



Mayor & Board of Supervisors

The Endorsements Committee will hold a meeting on Saturday, July 20 at 9 am to interview candidates for the following offices:

  • Board of Supervisors (Districts 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11)

The Endorsements Committee will resume their interview meeting on Sunday, July 21 at 9 am to interview candidates for the following offices:

  • Mayor

To qualify for an endorsement interview, all candidates must indicate that they support the principles of our Party platform, complete the candidate endorsement questionnaire, and return it to [email protected] by Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 5 pm. Questionnaires will be published to the SF Democratic Party website once the deadline has passed.

The SF DCCC will deliberate and vote to endorse candidates for these offices on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:30 pm. This meeting will be conducted in person and be recorded and uploaded on the SF DCCC’s Facebook page. Public comment will be taken at the beginning of the meeting.


Local Ballot Measures & Additional Remaining Local Public Offices

The Endorsements Committee will hold a meeting on Saturday, August 17 at 9 am to interview candidates for the following offices:

  • City Attorney

  • District Attorney

  • Sheriff

  • Treasurer

  • Board of Education

  • City College Board

  • BART Board (Districts 7, 9)

The Endorsements and Issues Committees will hold a joint meeting on Sunday, August 18 at 9 am to interview proponents and opponents of local ballot measures.

To qualify for an endorsement interview, all candidates must indicate that they support the principles of our Party platform, complete the candidate endorsement questionnaire, and return it to [email protected] by Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 5 pm. Questionnaires will be published to the SF Democratic Party website once the deadline has passed.
